Short Film: 2:20

2:20 was the winner of the 2011 virgin media shorts competition.

2:20 follows one character through the last 2:20 of his life. the character is given a set of glasses which allow him to see how long he has to live. The glasses are given to him by a lady and he then goes along the road and find out the power which he is given when using the glasses.

Mise-en-scene:
The film is set at night this is a big part of the Mise-en-scene as the really does play on the idea of having it set a night. The location is very simple with the road being the place where the  character is based and the way he engages with the location is key to the way the film works. Props are also very good for the film with the glasses being a big part of the understanding of the storyline which has been used to create the film.

Camera:
The camera shots which are used are very simple but effective for showing the story.

Sound:
There is no dialogue in this film but all of the actions of the character give a good explanation of what they film is supposed to be. the sounds of the road are key for the audience to establish the way the film was going to go from the start.

Editing:
The editing is made interesting with the imagery which is used with the glasses. but the editing is very simple with the a number of eyeline matches of which have the graphics on the screen and the story uses the editing very well. the pace of the editing is very good for the way the film works.
